On 3 September 2021 DELTA’s project partner, the University of Cyprus (UCY), held an interactive online workshop with participants of the DELTA and DRIMPAC project pilots.
Delivered by UCY team members Dr. Kyriaki Psara, Alexis Frangoullides and Jorge Brachowas, the purpose of this workshop was to introduce the pilot participants to both projects and to familiarise them with the concept of demand response.
DRIMPAC is a fellow Horizon 2020 project. Its main outcome is to engage consumers to become active participants in the energy market. It aims to provide a universal technological framework that facilitates the end-to-end communication needed to create and deliver a demand response environment, thus bridging the gap between energy users and the energy market.
During the event, participants were given a detailed explanation about their role and responsibilities as users of the DELTA and DRIMPAC solutions. Attendees left with an understanding of how, as Europe’s energy system transitions, the need for flexibility – particularly local flexibility – becomes increasingly important.
The workshop is available to view below.
